Empowering Underrepresented Voices Through Design

Since 2020, I’ve partnered with agencies to build bold visual identities for first-time political candidates—particularly people of color breaking barriers in local elections. My work goes beyond aesthetics: it’s about converting grassroots energy into voter action. With often limited resources, I’ve served as both designer and creative director—developing logos and brand systems, art-directing photoshoots for authentic candidate imagery, and producing everything from digital ads to county-wide mailers. My most impactful work included designing a comprehensive campaign toolkit that transformed complex strategies into digestible visual guides, using hierarchical layouts, 'This vs That' comparisons, and tactical typography to empower novice candidates.

Every material—whether a yard sign or a full campaign website—is designed to do double duty: standing out visually while clearly communicating a candidate’s mission to diverse communities. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to create politically strategic design that resonates on doorsteps, in mailboxes, and across digital platforms—proving that great campaign design isn’t just seen, but believed.
